Caught, Not Taught
All the tools and concepts are “caught not taught”.
Simply teaching these concepts to your disciples will not get them into their heart. All these concepts are built on the Word—a foundation that cannot crumble—but your group will need time for their own foundations to break against the imperishable one.
Just like in your own life and transformation, when you first see the concept, it is nothing more that a picture on a page. However, as you stare at the picture it becomes a mirror to you. When the Word becomes a mirror, transformation begins to take place (James 1).
Give your group space to let this happen. Love them through it and the Word will become the foundation—the window they will see through.
